Hi!

I've successfully set cipe up once between two SuSE 6.4 boxes. No errors,
clean compile. BUT, when I tried to repeat my success things went
bad. I've installed the third box exactly the same as the others, and the
compile went fine. I rebuilt the kernel to be exactly the same as the
others. (One exception: I built the network module into the kernel instead
of as a module.) The module loads ok, but when i try to start ciped-cb i
get the following error in /var/log/messages:

Nov  2 20:53:48 cipe-nl-1 ciped-cb[706]: CIPE daemon vers 1.4.3 (c) Olaf
Titz 1996-2000
Nov  2 20:53:48 cipe-nl-1 ciped-cb[706]: opendev: bind: Invalid argument

And running 'strace ciped-cb' reveals the following:
1. A LOT of bad file descriptor messages. (These also show up on an strace
on the working machine.)
close(1023)                             = -1 EBADF (Bad file descriptor)
close(1022)                             = -1 EBADF (Bad file descriptor)
close(1021)                             = -1 EBADF (Bad file descriptor)
2. After all the close messages the trace ends like this:
fork()                                  = 677
rt_sigaction(SIGUSR1, {0x804a570, [HUP INT TERM CHLD], 0x4000000}, NULL,
8) = 0
rt_sigaction(SIGCHLD, {0x804a570, [HUP INT TERM CHLD], 0x4000000}, NULL,
8) = 0
pause() = ? ERESTARTNOHAND (To be
restarted)
--- SIGCHLD (Child exited) ---
sigreturn()                             = ? (mask now [])
wait4(-1, [WIFEXITED(s) && WEXITSTATUS(s) == 1], 0, NULL) = 677
_exit(1)                                = ?

I just can't figure out what's wrong... Any help?

Regards,
Tor Magnus Castberg
