Hi,

today, a cipe installation gave me quite a bit of trouble. Now it
finally seems to work, but in the system logs, there are still messages
appearing, which bother me:

| Jan 11 22:53:12 gw ciped-cb[1434]: kxchg: recv: Bad file descriptor
| Jan 11 22:53:12 gw kernel: cipe_recvmsg: bogus length -2
| Jan 11 22:53:22 gw ciped-cb[1434]: kxchg: recv: Bad file descriptor
| Jan 11 22:53:22 gw kernel: cipe_recvmsg: bogus length -2
| Jan 11 22:53:32 gw ciped-cb[1434]: kxchg: recv: Bad file descriptor
| Jan 11 22:53:32 gw kernel: cipe_recvmsg: bogus length -2
| Jan 11 22:53:42 gw ciped-cb[1434]: kxchg: recv: Bad file descriptor
| Jan 11 22:53:42 gw kernel: cipe_recvmsg: bogus length -2
| Jan 11 22:53:52 gw ciped-cb[1434]: kxchg: recv: Bad file descriptor
| Jan 11 22:53:52 gw kernel: cipe_recvmsg: bogus length -2

As far as I have seen in the source, this is from a failing recv call
(and _should_ be harmless?). Nevertheless, it appears every 10 seconds
and I'd like to get rid of it... never had such messages in my other
installations.

The system is a 2.2.18 (non SMP) kernel and cipe-1.4.5.

Any ideas or hints?

Bye,
  Stefan
