Hello,
First post here. Not much traffic, am I on the right list?
Or perhaps I'm the only one with questions which would be a good
testimonial for CIPE.

Just trying to get a basic connection up and running for tuning and
configuring.

My cipe daemon is bailing out after starting. My log looks like this:

        ...ciped-cb: /etc/cipe/options: incorrect permissions
        ...ciped-cb[25298]: missing argument: peer

What should the permissions be on /etc/cipe/options?

My options file perms:

        -rw-r--r-- 1 root root Jan 31 13:55 options

I am running as root, no setuid.

As for 'missing argument: peer'...

Contents of /etc/cipe/options (addresses frob'd):

        # the peer's IP address
        ptpaddr 192.168.1.1

        # our CIPE device's IP address
        ipaddr 192.168.2.1

        # my UDP address. Note: if you set port 0 here, the system will pick
        # one and tell it to you via the ip-up script. Same holds for IP
0.0.0.0.
        me 207.207.207.207:4433

        # ...and the UDP address we connect to. Of course no wildcards here.
        peer 24.24.24.24:4433

        # The static key. Keep this file secret!
        # The key is 128 bits in hexadecimal notation.
        key 3248fd20adf9c00ccf9ecc2393bbb3e4

Any insights appreciated, 'Reply All' to catch my home email if you
don't mind, thanks :-)

Rgds,
Marty
