Subject: cipe-win32 not answering, am I stupid???

Hello,

I have a very strange problem (at least for me) and I would be very happy,
if anyone of you could help me, I ran out of possible solutions. Sorry for the
long post, but I hope it has all relevant settings.

After connecting two private networks over the internet using two Linux
routers running cipe 1.5.1, which is running great, I wanted to connect my
Windows 2000 machine to one of the two routers.

It seems as if the two "daemons" connect successfully, I have a
cipcb0-device on Linux (temporarily I suspended the other tunnel between the
two Linux
machines). When I ping 192.168.11.32 (cipe-win2k) from 192.168.11.31
(cipe-linux), I can see INCOMING packets on UDP port 1716 (see my
configuration below)
on my Ethernet-Network-Connection on Windows 2000 (ethernet-win2k).
I can also see INCOMING packets on the 192.168.11.32(cipe-win2k)-Connection.
So it seems as if the tunnel is working FROM Linux to Win2k.
My problem is, I do not see ANY packets from cipe-win2k to cipe-linux and no
packets from ethernet-win2k to ppp0-linux.
Looking at the little computers in Systray standing for the two network
connections, only the two computers on the back have green screens :-)

On the Linux machine I get the following result after a "ifconfig cipcb0"
command (after quite a while of pinging):
cipcb0 Link encap:IPIP Tunnel HWaddr
          inet addr:192.168.11.31 P-t-P:192.168.11.32 Mask:255.255.255.255
UP POINTOPOINT RUNNING NOARP MTU:1442 Metric:1
          RX packets:0 errors:177 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:1153 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:100
I am wondering why I am getting errors - and receive NO packets back.
Besides, there's an MTU of 1442 because I am on a DSL-PPPoE-Line at home.

I have a strong feeling there is something wrong with the routing on my
windows machine, but what? I did not change anything and it looks ok for me
(netstat -nr, I changed my work-subnet to 111.111.11.0/24):

I installed CIPE-Win32-2.0-pre9.zip, configured the connection to the Linux
router with the following config:

on Win2K:
Local IP: 111.111.11.68, port 1716
Peer IP: home.provider.de, port 1716
Local PTP: 192.168.11.32
Peer PTP: 192.168.11.31
(I entered the Local PTP address manually in the TCP-IP-Settings of the
according network connection:
IP-Address: 192.168.11.32, Subnet-Mask: 255.255.255.0, no Standard Gateway)

on Linux:
me: home.provider.de:1716
peer: 111.111.11.68:1716
ipaddr: 192.168.11.31
ptpaddr: 192.168.11.32

Of course I have the same key on both machines :-)

Can ANYBODY help me please? After trying around for about 24 hours (3 days),
I cannot find anything that is wrong...

Thank you very much in advance,
Torben
