I tried this again using the added options: (output below)
debug=true
nokey=true
ipup=/etc/cipe/ip-up
ipdown=/etc/cipe/ip-down

but still nothing. Are there any kernel options I'm missing? I have all
the options enabled to run a firewall...

Also, the (texinfo) document says there should be no warnings when
compiling. However, this is not the case. I get errors about imcompatible
pointer types such as:
  proto.c:98: warning: passing arg 2 of `bind' from incompatible pointer
  type
in functions:
proto.c: function getMySocket
main.c:  function doClient
         function doServer
         function main

Should this be a problem? (Exact warnings available upon request.)
(Sorry if this is obvious.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

John
