hi.

i'm trying to compile cipe-1.5.2 on a cobalt qube-3 with a 2.2.16 kernel.

problem is, ./configure generates a config.h file in the kernel module
directory that #includes <linux/modversions.h>, which doesn't exist in the
kernel sources i have. a bit of research indicates to me that this is an
obsolete include file that's in the process of going away.

just for yucks, i commented out the include, and the compile went ok, but
make install fails because this results in a kernel module with unresolved
references (no great surprise.)

does anyone know what i have to do (./configure option?) to generate a
Makefile and source that knows it doesn't need linux/modversions.h or uses
the newer include, whatever it is?

thanks in advance for any help.

al
