 No, it's a SuSE distro. And CIPE is compiled from source. The startup
script (/etc/rc.d/cipe) is the SuSE typical startup script with some
minor modifications by me.

 Basically:
(this is a excerpt)

=======
# What daemon to use?
CIPED=/usr/local/sbin/ciped-cb

case "$1" in
    start)
        echo -n "Starting ciped."
        /sbin/startproc $CIPED || return=$rc_failed

        echo -e "$return"
        ;;
    stop)
        echo -n "Shutting down ciped:"
        /sbin/killproc -TERM $CIPED || return=$rc_failed

        echo -e "$return"
=======

 Yes, no -o option is specified, but ciped-db by default looks for
/etc/cipe/options.

 Regards.
