Well, I kinda think the same and even if there where problems with the 
decoupling of skb's in the kernel you would have noticed that long before 
even 
installing cipe. Oh well, today wasn't a good day to start with :)

So my next guess would be your proposal with the 64bit issues. It could be 
that 
the wrong bits get flushed during a shift or so but to find this out you will 
need to add some debugging code into the decryption part of cipe.

I guess I'm not of a big help so far, sorry.
