I'm guessing on this one, but you could try using the iproute2 tools instead
of the basic 'route' command to establish a set of dynamic routing rules,
possibly also including iptables rules to establish packet marking as
needed.  Our network uses something similar to route traffic through two
internet connections based on source address for simple load balancing, so
perhaps this will at least give you a pointer on where to look next.
