I have a RedHat 8 (kernel 2.4.18.14) running CIPE 1-4.5-11. I have several CIPE interfaces configured on the server so that several road warriors can attach to it and gain access to the network. I can connect to any of the listening interfaces with my RedHat 8 (kernel-1.4.18-19.8.0) running CIPE 1.4.5-11. I have installed cipe-Win32 (pre 15) on a basic Windows 2000 SP 0 desktop and cannot connect. I ran tcpdump -i <interfacename> on the linux server and never saw a packet hit the box. It is as if cipe was not trying to connect with the linux box. I was running cipsrvr console on the Windows side to trouble shoot. It shows the peer coming up and shows Cipe sending a CT_PING message and then stops. I dont see any traffic on my network using ethereal. Just for Info CIPE Win32 CIPE LINUX IP 0.0.0.0 Port 7779 IP cipe.hostname.com Port 7779 PEER IP cipe.hostname.com Port 7779 PEER IP 0.0.0.0 Port 7779 local cipe ip 192.168.5.6 local cipe ip 192.168.5.5 ptp cipe ip 192.168.5.5 ptp cipe ip 192.168.5.6 Any ideas??
