now, they?must be compatible. CIPE 1.4 has a correction in key decoding
and is only incompatible with previous vertion.

for Windows Version 2.0-pre15 to talk to CIPE 1.4.5-11 on RedHat 8.0 would be
greatly appreciated.

a
CIPE VPN between two Linux Redhat 8.0 boxes using the default CIPE software
provided by RedHat. Each has an ADSL connection to the internet with a static
IP and NAT.?I use port forwarding on the ADSL routers to?get around
the NAT issue.

connect to one of these boxes from an NT box via a dial up internet 
connection,
but with no success.? I have configured a second CIPE interface on the
Linux box with a different port number, key and peer IP address and am
attempting to connect to it.

without complaint but when I attempt to ping the remote peer (from either end
of the link) I just receive timeout errors.??After a reboot, I looked
through the NT event viewer and found the following error message: "The
DKW Heavy Industries VPN Adapter. Service service hung on starting".?
Subsequent stopping and starting of the CIPE service causes no further errors.

to
CIPE version 1.5 on the Linux boxes unless absolutely necessary because if I
break anything it will mean a flight interstate to fix it!
