i'm running cipe from debian testing, which is cipe-1.5.4, on both
machines which are debian themselves. I used to run an older version
without pkcipe, but now i want pkcipe. And it sort of works.
The interfaces are brought up in both machines, but no data moves
between the interfaces, not even if i run tcpdump on them.
If i use pkcipe -E i get
kitchen:/etc/init.d# pkcipe -E -c vpn_gw:24
connect to <my ip>
starting /usr/sbin/ciped for peer gw
kitche:/etc/init.d#
in the /var/log/daemon.log i get a few
Jul 21 12:20:38 gw ciped-2.4.21[13948]: kxchg: recv: Connection refused
Jul 21 12:20:40 gw ciped-2.4.21[13670]: keepalive timeout
in both ends. It seems to me that they are not allowed to talk to each
other, i wonder why, pkcipe works. I have other machines which connect
to the same gw, and they work.
