Hi all,
I have RedHat Linux 7.2 and after I left cipcb0 interfase
running for many days (60 days more or less) and I restart
the interfase, the cipcb0 does not disapear from ifconfig.

I try this:
- ifdown cipcb0

i think ifdown only works if it has been configured in /etc/network/interfaces

- ifconfig cipcb0 down

this should work

But it does not work.
Also, the cipcb0 is listed in:
$ ip link list
but without the UP flag

- rmmod cipcb0

do you have a module named cipcb0? i dont think so.

:-) my mistake, it was
# rmmod cipcb

But the interfase is still listed when running the command:

kill the daemon ?

I killed the daemon, but the interfase is still listed and does not work
if I start the cipe daemon again.
My only solution is to reboot or clone the setup and use another
cipcb interfase.

I could be an old kernel too. Its a RH7.2 with kernel 2.4.9
